A Birthday Gift

My younger sister's birthday is coming up soon & I've been wanting to make her a wine cork message board for a quite a while. I made my older sister one last year & began one for myself at the time. You can read about it {here} in case you missed that post.

Anyway, for all three cork boards, I used vintage frames found at a thrift shop back in Connecticut. I think I paid $6 for the set of 3. I took the glass & original backs out & replaced them with thin plywood. Then glued the corks down with Tacky glue.

I also bought her the fleur de lis hangar
from Urban Upcycles

I think she's really going to like these.....hope she doesn't see this before I send them to her!

Sneek Peek at the Bakers Twine sets

Just a little peek at the new bakers twine sets that I've been working on. They're all nestled together here with the little brown birdy sets currently in the shop. I'm diligently working to get them listed. Still hoping to finish it up today. I know it's getting late in the evening for all the "East Coasties", so if you don't see them tonight, check back in the a.m. :-)

I've been tangled in twine!

For the past week or so I've been wrapping twine......lots of twine......LOTS of twine. In fact, I've wrapped about 2500 yards of bakers twine! Why you ask? Well, I have new sets to list in my shop. New spool sizes & yardage amounts are coming this week!

All I need to do is take pictures for the listings & they'll be good to go. Hoping to have them in the shop Tuesday.
And what are these little cardinal bags for? Yep, you guessed it........new sets of twine!
